You don't have to walk through this alone
Coaching
Grief coaching for loss, and for the quiet transitions that carry grief we rarely name.
Grief wears many faces
“I miss them so much.”
“Nothing is the way it used to be.”
The loss of a friend, a partner, a beloved animal — nothing hurts as deeply as letting someone go from our lives.
Whether through death or separation. Whether expected or sudden, it awakens a pain in us that runs deep. Often it feels as if nothing is standing where it used to, and you don't know how you're supposed to get through the day.
Grief wears many faces, not only the face of death.
Deep, life-changing transitions can also take something from us that was long familiar and good — and that's often exactly what makes them harder than we're willing to admit.
A move to a new place that unravels your entire social fabric. The beginning of well-earned retirement, which quietly ends an identity that carried you for decades. The end of a relationship. The transition from school into your own life.
From the outside, these changes often look "good" or "right" and yet they carry a quiet, often unacknowledged grief, one we rarely give ourselves permission to feel.
Deep change often frightens us. Something uncertain, something unknown, is approaching, something we don't yet know how to hold. Moving through it doesn't always feel easy — and it deserves to be named for what it often is: a form of grief.
What Grief Coaching Can (and Can't) Do
Grief coaching cannot take your pain away. And it cannot make the aloneness disappear —
in the end, grief is something only you can walk through.
What it can offer is a steady presence beside you on that path: someone who stays, who doesn't look away, who helps you find your way back to yourself, one step at a time.
What Awaits You — The Path Forward
What awaits you is a non-judgmental, safe space — one where we look together at what you need and where you'd like to go. You won't be handed a formula for "getting over it." Instead, I walk alongside you on the path toward what you truly wish for — steady, honest, at your own pace.
That path can look very different from person to person. Maybe you want to make sure that someone you've lost is honored, held in memory, never forgotten — and still find your way back into life, back into friendships, back into living. Then let's look together at what your grief needs in order for that to happen. Maybe, after the end of a relationship, you want to be able to move forward — to work through that pain and need support finding your way there.
There are as many situations, goals, and wishes as there are people in this world. Whatever yours is, I'm here to walk alongside you on your own, truly individual path — helping you reconnect with your own strength and inner wisdom along the way.
Who This Is For — and Who It Isn't
This coaching is for you if you're navigating grief, loss, or a deep life transition — and you're looking for steady, honest support as you find your way back to yourself. You don't need to have it all figured out, and you don't need to be "over" your grief to begin.
My work often centers on grief, loss, and life transitions — but the deeper thread running through everything I do is the belief that nothing is wrong with you, and you already carry your own wisdom within you. If you're navigating something else entirely — burnout, self-worth, body image, or something you don't quite have words for yet — I warmly invite you to reach out anyway. We can talk and see if this is the right space for you.
This coaching is not a substitute for therapy. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, living with untreated clinical depression, or need diagnosis and treatment for a mental health condition, please seek support from a licensed therapist — I'm glad to help you find the right person if that's the case for you.

About me
I'm Chiara — the heart behind Hearts Coming Home. My own life has been shaped by grief, loss, and transitions. I learned this on my own path : Whatever you need to move through this experience is already within you. But you do need help, sometimes, to remember that, and to access your own wisdom.
I've learned a lot about grief and loss along the way — and the most important thing I've learned is that no process is like any other. We are all different, and we all need different things.
I would love to walk alongside you in finding, together, what you need to move well through your own process — to find your way back to yourself, to your strength, or to whatever it is you need in this moment.
Based on Orcas Island, I offer sessions both in person and online, in English and German.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Grief coaching is a supportive, forward-looking space to process loss and life transitions. It's not therapy — I don't diagnose or treat mental illness. Instead, we work together to help you understand your own patterns, reconnect with your inner strength, and slowly find your way back to yourself. If, along the way, it becomes clear that you need therapeutic support instead, I'll be honest with you and help you find the right person.

There's no fixed number — it depends on where you're starting from and what you're working toward. I offer single sessions, so you're always free to decide, session by session, whether and when you'd like to continue. I also offer a 12-session package, because in my experience, committing to your own process over a focused stretch of time — rather than deciding session by session — can create real momentum and depth for those who are ready for it. After the 12 sessions, you're welcome to book another package — but only if it's genuinely serving you. What matters most at that point is what you notice: where you've moved to, compared to where you started 12 sessions ago. I'll always share my own honest perspective too — but this is ultimately about what you feel and see for yourself, not about me simply offering you the next package by default.
-
No, there's no fixed rhythm — it's very individual. Some people need just a week to sit with and integrate what came up in a session; others need two or three. You decide what feels right for you. The one exception is the 12-session package: these sessions need to be used within one year of purchase. Sessions not used within that year expire without refund.
-
Both. You're welcome to book an in-person session at my office on Orcas Island, or meet with me online — whichever works best for you. Sessions are booked and paid for directly through the platform, in US dollars. I offer sessions in both English and German.

All sessions — whether in person on Orcas Island or online — are booked directly through the platform. Your first session, a free 20-minute conversation, is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit — no payment required. After that, you can book and pay for individual sessions or the 12-session package directly through the platform. If you run into any trouble with the online booking, please don't hesitate to reach out — you're always welcome to call me directly to arrange an appointment.
-
No problem — when you book online, the scheduling tool automatically adjusts to your time zone. Just make sure to select your correct time zone when booking, so we're always on the same page.

Yes — I hold a limited number of sliding scale spots for people who need it, because I wantsupport to be genuinely accessible. At the same time, honoring my own capacity and needsmatters to me too, so these spots are limited. If cost is a barrier for you, please reach out andlet me know your situation — we'll see together what's possible.

In Germany, I worked for several years as a licensed psychotherapist in my own practice. Here in the United States, I work exclusively as a coach — not as a therapist. This means our work together focuses on supporting you through grief and life transitions in a healthy, resourceful way — not on diagnosing or treating mental illness. If, during our work together, it becomes clear that what you're experiencing goes beyond grief — for example, if depressive symptoms move into the foreground — I will be honest with you about that, and refer you to a licensed therapist. Coaching is also not crisis intervention; if you're in the United States and experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7. If you're located outside the U.S., please reach out to your local emergency services.

Yes. I offer life coaching for anyone wanting to grow, understand themselves more deeply, or move through something meaningful. That might mean working on self-worth, exploring your spiritual life, navigating a period of change, or — a topic especially close to my heart — finding your way to a healthier relationship with your body and weight, rooted in self-love rather than self-judgment.
What I don't offer is executive or business coaching. If you're not sure whether your situation fits, just reach out — we can talk about it together.
