Hearts Coming Home, LLC ("Hearts Coming Home," "we," "us," or "our") provides companionship, end-of-life support, and coaching services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through heartscominghome.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and how you can reach us with questions.

We collect information directly from you when you use the Site:

  • Booking and contact information. When you request an appointment through our scheduling tool (Cal.com), we collect your name, email address, and phone number.

  • Payment information. When you pay for a service, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves; Stripe collects and processes this information under its own privacy policy.

  • Website usage data. We use Squarespace Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. This may include information such as pages viewed, general location at the city or region level, and browser or device type, collected through cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party advertising trackers on this Site.

We do not ask for or require health, medical, or diagnostic information through the Site. If you choose to share sensitive personal details in a message to us — for example, about a loved one's condition — we treat it as confidential and use it only to respond to your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to inquiries and schedule sessions,

  • provide the services you request,

  • process payments,

  • maintain records required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, and

  • understand general visitor trends on the Site.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Hearts Coming Home:

  • Cal.com, our scheduling provider, to manage bookings.

  • Stripe, our payment processor, to handle transactions.

  • Squarespace, our website host, which also provides the analytics described above.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies and security practices. We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a client or the public.

5. Cookies

The Site uses cookies through Squarespace Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not work as intended.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Contact and booking details are kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or provide services, and generally no longer than three years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required for legal or accounting reasons.

  • Records connected to payments are retained as required by tax and accounting law, generally up to seven years.

  • Payment card data is not retained by us at all; Stripe retains it under its own policy.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you,

  • correct inaccurate information,

  • delete your information, or

  • stop using your information for a particular purpose.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. International Visitors

Hearts Coming Home is based in Washington State, USA, and our service providers (Cal.com, Stripe, Squarespace) process data in the United States. If you are visiting the Site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
